The Crossing Arts Alliance is excited to host Anishinaabe artist, Adrienne M. Benjamin, for an exhibition of her work. The exhibition, Gashkigwaade (It is Sewn) will feature a collection of Benjamin’s handmade jingle dresses. Join us at Crossing Arts Friday, Join us on Friday, May 3rd for an opening reception, performance by Anishinaabe dancers and musicians, and conversation with the artist. Then, join us for an artist talk with Benjamin on Saturday, May 4th as she discusses cultural appropriation and her reconciliation work with Minnetonka Moccasins.
